In the wake of a devastation, the world reels from the aftermath of the Maladictus Virus, a harrowing plague that has plunged cities into darkness and despair by reanimating the dead. Originating from the desolate expanses of the Arctic, where it lay dormant, this malevolent pathogen was believed to have been excavated, studied and unleashed, causing an unprecedented horror upon humanity.

As chaos reigned, whispers of Helix Inc., a pharmaceutical company had the shadowy ties to the virus's origins. With each passing day, the virus's insidious influence grows, birthing grotesque mutations that defy comprehension.

Among these reanimated aberrations "Vampires," undead beings of unparalleled cunning and bloodlust, whose presence casts a pall of fear over the ravaged landscape. Yet, even darker rumors swirl of more mutation, hairy beasts and other rarer creatures have been seen in Grime City.

In the face of this escalating crisis, Leviathan, a privatized military force, descends to enforce quarantine upon the afflicted regions. Trapped within the confines of Grime City, its inhabitants are left to fend for themselves disconnected from the outside world, their fates entwined with the relentless march of the undead.

Amidst the chaos and despair, you find yourself thrust into a world where survival is not guaranteed. Whether human, undead, or vampire, your destiny is bound to the fate of Grime City, where escape is but a distant dream, and the chances of escape are still unknown.
 As one of the remaining scraps of Humanity, you will face all the horrors of the end times; The ravenous, sneaky undead. The treacherous, shadowy vampires. And even other ill-aligned Humans!

 Using skills such as building barricades, hiding effectively and mastering the intricacies of combat, the ingenuity and determination of Humanity can shine forth! A multitude of weapons await your choosing, from the mundane to the insane! Firearms for traditionalists and all the instruments of pain you’d come to expect to find (or craft) when Hell has risen once more. Perseverance of the self is key, but Humans have always thrived best when working together. Thanks to a special serum created by Helix Pharmaceuticals, Humans have a better chance than ever against the impossible.

 From living in caves, to flying in space, Humans have done it all. This is but another trial for humanity to clear. Come what may.
 As the Undead, you will feast upon both all those foolish enough to cross your path, Humans and Vampires alike.

 A multitude of tools to slaughter your victims are at your disposal, such as infecting your prey, hiding amongst corpses, and even using failed revivals of your own body to your advantage are but a few toys in your ghoulish bag of tricks.

 Whenever a human in particular dies by your hand, they will become an Undead! Misery loves company! Swarming, horde tactics as well as sneaky ambushes are encouraged for Undead players.

 But watch your back! Treachery is always afoot among the deathless, but The Rot provides, and you can utilize your curse as a protective blanket in various away to help ward off such inevitable skullduggery.
 As a Vampire, Humans are below you and are your primary desired source of prey. The revolting Undead, however are your direct competition.

 Your hauntingly daunting skills include shrugging off a percentage of all damage, attacking from a feigned death, and increasing your power as your killing spree grows.

 The blood of your enemies shall flow and so too shall your power! Make the shadows your cloak and your fangs your sword as you cleanse Grime City of its lesser life forms. The world is ours to inherit but first, we must shape it from the filthy ashes of its current state. You are a natural born hunter, and urban jungle, your rightful domain.

This is a backlog of changes that have happened since the 21st

- Major Point of this change was to make items more fluid. Do things like add secondary uses to items, make it so items can have multiple uses, eventually be able to add special cased uses to items in the future (think, something along the lines of armor that halves fire damage etc These things aren't in the game yet, but this change was done to make it possible to do these things). This means we can have guns that you can hit people with blunt or bladed manners. You can have dual healing items with various types. Anything can basically have any other sort of types. A lot of these things are not implemented in game yet and will be as we get to work on it.

- When you log in, your current inventory, bank etc will be converted to the new method we are using to store items. If you see any bugs upon log in please let us know

- Though I haven't added it to the game yet, we now have the function to racelock drops and search drops.

- Restricted items should work properly, shouldn't suddenly not drop for no reason, and should not be able to be cloned

- Stunlock Effects no longer stun for long periods of time on npcs. What is replacing this is now NPC's tick the status down as if you hit a player. Effects that deal stunlocks to npcs now last twice as many turns than on players. This means NPC's will be able to be terrified again, also there is a new effect that only affects Anomalies, Creatures and Werewolf NPCs (of which there is only one). More on that later.

- Some NPC's are now able to attack each other, namely bosses.

- More robust flavor item system, that allows various flavor messages rather than just the default "you play with it and feel better" none of which are implemented yet.

- New Effect Added to the game called Monsterbane. This affects only anomalies, creatures and werewolves. This is more of a test and the number may need to be tweaked to be lower but at the moment it can block 16 attack backs from a npc. The items that deal it involve crafting and killing an npc for components.

- You now only need 1 fire extinguisher as they are reloadable now, and are no longer RNG based and have a guaranteed 6 uses per reload. The ammo can be found in most places where you could find fire extinguishers. It can also be crafted by components found in the supermarket (and that replaces the fire extinguisher recipe)

- You can now simply carry a smart phone instead of separate items to do GPS, walkie talkies, maps, cell phone. All these can be combined into one via crafting. The items will remain in the game for now, but its possible we juat replace them with a smartphone. Keep in mind if you make this the GPS is always on.

- Various versions of shotguns, pistols, hunting rifles have been given blunt attack options so anybody including zombies and vampires can hit things with them.

- The Musket weapon now comes with a Bayonet option by default that deals bleeding

- Pack of Flame Retardant added to the game. Can stack to 3. It is the ammo for fire extinguishers

- Bayonet attachment added to game. This drops from soldier NPC's. It can be crafted into a AR with Bayonet attachment. It deals bleeding at a higher rate than the musket

- Monster Slayer NPC added to the game. He is somewhere in Elgin.

- Vial of Monster Poison added to the game.

- Monster Slaying Greatsword added to the game. (RARE)

- Monster Slaying Bat added to the game

- Monster Slaying Pistol added to the game

- Monster Slaying Katana added to the game

- Snare traps deal Snare which eats 2 ap instead of 4 to differentiate from sticky bombs

- Incendiary Ammo added to the game. It is crafted.

- Incendiary AR added to the game, it is a dual damage type so you can switch between ammo types. Incendiary Ammo can deal burning to enemies.

- Smartphone - Craftable.

- Microchip added to the game

- False Dumptruck is not edible

- True Dunptruck added to the game

- Bladed Glove, Tendril Hands, Jewel Tendril hands, Yule Gauntlet and Brightclaw Gauntlet give alternate unequipped attacks

- Bandages Heal an extra 2 damage when used on other players, and suture kits an extra 4-5

- Extra Bloody Mary now heals 5-7 for vampires and 1-4 for zombies. Effects remain 50% dazed / 100% lesser fortify

- Undead Flirtini now heals 5-7 for zombies and 1-4 for vampires. Effects remain 50% dazed / 100% lesser fortify

- Autopsy kits can now be used in morgues to "craft" organs by zombie players at a low cost

- Blood Transfuser Drop added to Ghost Maker, who has in turn been buffed to be stronger. Its about as rare as the autopsy kit.

- Blood Transfuser allows one to make low cost blood bags in blood banks, and low cost to make blood wine with a blood bag in the alcohol shop

- REDACTED drop on ghostmaker increased from 1% drop rate to 5%

- Rat Rifle and recipe added

- Rifle Upgrade Kit added to Leviathan Bruiser drop pool

- Batting Cage building added to beachwood

- Pitching Machine added to game

- Pro Baseball Bat added to the game

- Packs of baseballs added to the game (can be turned into weak thrown baseball items, or used for...something)

- Batting Helmet added to game

- Various baseball cosmetics added to the game

- Vine Blade now deals 25% lethargic

- Bladed Glove now deals 30% lethargic

- fire extinguishers can now be reloaded while dead, though you still can't fight fires while dead

- Weakened effect now blocks undead innate healing (fangs, zombie teeth) for now I am only putting this on weakened but it could potentially be expanded to other healing blocking effects

- Chemical Spray Bottle added to the game. This is an item that allows humans to clean graffiti and smears of gore etc that vamps can do for XP. The cleaning mix is made in super markets and the components, baking soda and vinegar is also found there.

- Time should now display whatever item your using (wristwatch, smartphone)

- Zombies once locked onto a smell of a vampire who is wounded now have a easier time finding them. Made no sense you could smell them but then had to spend 30 or 40 more ap to find them it goes as followed. Zombies now have 50% chance to find a vampire their smell has locked onto in the dark, 75% chance in light with unnatural darkness skill, and 100% chance in light without the skill, assuming they have locked onto the target with smell blood

- Oakshade Prison has an escape route to swim to shore from below the southern Cabin.

- Renamed the map tile to Oakshade Jetty (527,541)

- 20ap to swim to the mainland

LS Assault Rifle has had a new secondary attack added

- LS Assault Rifle (Aimed) deals reduced damage of 6-7 at 10% higher accuracy. This attack just pulls ammo from your already loaded clip

Important cabbage related news

- Cabbage item removed from Cabbage Man drop pool and replaced with Fresh Cabbage

- Cabbage removed from vegetable gardens

- Fresh Cabbages can now be also be thrown and eaten with stats matching Cabbages

- Since cabbages won't drop going forward, they can now also be eaten like their fresh counterparts

- Bagpipes added to the game (already existed but somehow wasn't findable)

- Accordion added to the game

Major changes were made. Please refer to the discord changelog but long story told short items can now have dual uses. (Like being able to pistol whip somebody with your pistol). Its a lot more complicated than that so hop on the discord for more info

New building type added to the game (Coffee shops called Cup Up) anyways - this is a building that allows players to craft 5 different types of coffee to varying effects (Nothing new, just buffs, one of which that does Energized), When snowing it is possible to find snowballs. 1-3 snowballs. 80% chance in heavy snow, 70% chance in light snow. Outside buildings only.
